Tour 2026 - Marrakesh

After 15 successful Tours to Turkey, we decided to try a new venue in Morocco in 2026, staying at The Kenzi Menara Palace. We were joined this year by Alex Whelan, Mark Maidment & for his first HOGS tour Robbie Moore. We also welcomed back Steve Wellbelove as captain & Nick "Nobby" Clarke after several years absence. Gordon Gover was unable to travel due to a recent illness.

The weather was mostly overcast for the week with a couple of sunny days thrown in & a week with little wind. The Golf courses were generally in good condition, the highlights being Royal Golf & Al Maaden, although the desert courses were not to everyones liking.

Mark Maidment set the pace with 38 pts on the first day & the scores remained high throughout the week. He ended up winning the overall on the final day by just one point, narrowly beating Tom Whelan into second place. The golf was as always very competitive and a fun time was had by all in attendance.

It was decided at the AGM that whilst it had been an interesting experience, we would look at alternative venues for next years event.
